Job Title: Teaching Artist

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Living Jazz is searching for teaching artists versed in practices including but not limited to rhythm, choral, songwriting, dance, and body percussion. Openings are for grades TK-6th, depending on the educator's comfort levels. This position offers a competitive rate and possible access to a budget for instrumentation.

Schedule and school choice is based on your availability and convenience.

DUTIES:

Provide music education to a diverse body of students representing the full spectrum of ethnic, social, economic backgrounds in East Bay public schools.

Communicate reliably and consistently with LJCP staff via email, phone, and in person.

Prepare students for final assemblies, videography projects, and donor visits, depending on need.

Duties consist of approximately 70% teaching, 20% preparation and development of programs, and 10% meeting with LJCP staff.
